Key Responsibilities
- Support Relationship Managers in managing and developing relationships with corporate clients across Singapore and the ASEAN region.
- Understand clients' business models, financing requirements, and strategic objectives to assist in identifying suitable banking and financing solutions.
- Assist in the origination and execution of corporate banking transactions, including loans, trade finance, and other banking products.
- Prepare client presentations, marketing pitches, briefing materials, and industry research to support business development efforts.
- Conduct financial analysis of client companies through the review of financial statements, annual reports, management accounts, and other relevant information.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate financing opportunities and support credit assessments.
- Support the preparation of credit applications, credit memoranda, annual reviews, and transaction approval papers.
- Review and analyse financial performance, liquidity, cash flows, leverage, and other key financial metrics for both prospective and existing clients.
- Assist in credit risk assessment, transaction monitoring, and portfolio management activities.
- Support loan documentation processes and coordinate with internal stakeholders to facilitate approvals and documentation completion.
- Assist in the review of security documentation and documentation deviations where required.
- Participate in client meetings, calls, and discussions alongside Relationship Managers.
- Monitor industry developments, market trends, and economic conditions relevant to client portfolios.
- Prepare internal reports and management updates related to client relationships and transaction pipelines.
- Collaborate with product partners, credit teams, legal teams, and operational stakeholders to support transaction execution and client servicing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in banking, corporate finance, credit analysis, transaction banking, consulting, or related fields.
- Good understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
- Exposure to financial modelling, valuation, or corporate finance concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial and business information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional reports and presentation materials..
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
